The Rodeo City Rollergirls are saddened to announce their annual Halloween bout set for this Saturday is cancelled due to a loss of venue.

The Ellensburg High School girls volleyball team has done exceedingly well this season and has made it to the next round of playoffs. Both of the Ellensburg High School gyms will be reserved for volleyball playoff games on Saturday and are unavailable for the previously scheduled roller derby bout.

“We are extremely sad that we have to cancel our most anticipated bout of the year. Our Halloween bout has been the highlight of our season for the past six years for both our fans and skaters,” said Nicole Klauss, public relations officer for the Rodeo City Rollergirls. “However we are proud of the EHS girls volleyball team and wish them well as they continue in their competition.”

The team plans to reschedule the bout against Columbia Basin Roller Derby later in the season.

RCR regrets any inconvenience to the coaches, players and numerous fans who planned to make it out to the bout. Any tickets purchased online will be refunded.

The Rodeo City Rollergirls are always looking for additional spaces to rent out for roller derby use. If you have a facility that measures 108 by 75 feet or larger and would like to talk with RCR about rentals, please email vp@rodeocityrollergirls.com.
