The Rodeo City Rollergirls took a 326-72 win on Sunday at home against the Aftershocks Roller Rebels Roller Derby.

Saturday marked the fourth bout in the team’s 2017-18 season, bringing the team’s record to 3-2. Rodeo City took an early lead in Saturday’s bout, and maintained it throughout the game.

Rodeo City bench coach Alicia Wagner said the team did well after coming off of a long holiday break.

“Everybody was working well together,” Wagner said. “Our jammers were getting through and scoring a lot of points.”

Rodeo City head coach Shelby Taylor-Olson said the team cohesiveness was good on Sunday and skaters had the opportunity to try new positions.

“All of our team members played well with each other,” she said. “We had new jammers that were getting to get some experience under their belts and they excelled really well. We’re looking forward to seeing what this season brings us with some harder games that are coming up.”

Rodeo City’s Sheso Sarcastic, Genevieve Sigle-Hall, took the MVP Jammer award, and Hula C Nation, Shelby Taylor-Olson took the MVP Blocker award.

The Rodeo City Rollergirls are hosting a new skater bout at noon Sunday, Feb. 4 at Ellensburg High School. The bout will feature new skaters from Eastern Washington. Entry is free to the public with a canned food donation that will go to FISH Food Bank.
